S.E. Shires Studio Sampler Program
Play it before you recommend it!
The best instrument recommendation you can give a student is one built on personal experience. The S.E. Shires Studio Sampler Program gives brass educators and their studios a direct, hands-on trial of Shires instruments.
How It Works
Selected studios receive a Shires instrument kit on a two week trial at no charge. Play it in lessons. Let your students try it in rehearsal. Then send it back with a short feedback form. That's the full commitment. If anyone in your studio decides to purchase during or after the trial, participants receive an exclusive discount off the purchase price. Pre-paid return shipping is included with every kit.
Who It’s For
The Sampler Program is designed for applied brass faculty, studio teachers, and band directors who want to form a genuine opinion about Shires instruments before making recommendations to their students. Opportunities are available across our catalogue of brass instruments and are filled on a rolling basis each year.
What's Available
The Studio Sampler Program spans the full Shires brass lineup, including trumpet, trombone, horn, and euphonium. Select studios may also have access to Willson professional euphoniums as part of an expanded conversation with applied low brass faculty. Please note, Custom Series instruments may be available with advanced requests but cannot be guaranteed.
Additional Details
The Studio Sampler Program allows for a two week trial of our instruments (unless otherwise authorized). At the conclusion of the trial, a pre-paid shipping label will be emailed to you and you will be responsible for packaging the instruments and bringing them to your nearest shipping center.
Please keep the instruments in your studio, and the instruments in the cases when not being played.
Rings and jewelry can easily damage an instrument. To avoid extra charges, please remove all jewelry before playing.
Please oil and lubricate the instrument to ensure it’s proper function.
After playing, carefully wipe the instrument to remove fingerprints and oil from hands. Fingerprints and acid from hands may tarnish the instrument more quickly than you realize.
Please be sure to return the trial instrument in the condition in which you received it.
