S.E. Shires co: advancing the heritage of craftsmanship

With over 25 years in business building world class brass instruments, S.E. Shires Company is an established and industry leading manufacturer of professional brass instruments. When building handmade trumpets, trombones, and euphoniums, every step of the process is carefully crafted and designed so that Shires instruments offer evenness of response and sound in all registers and playing styles. We hold parallel commitments to the highest standards of modern manufacturing, which make our instruments consistent and mechanically superior, and to the old-world craftsmanship that gives them the distinctively resonant voice appreciated by players the world over.

We believe in building instruments of unparalleled professional quality for every player. Join us for a peak behind the curtain to learn about our company, the craftspeople, and these incredible instruments that are proudly Made by Shires.

We’re proud to have been featured on Discovery Channel’s “Made By Destruction”. This video details how photocopiers are taken apart and recomposed into brass trumpets at the S.E. Shires Company,

If you've ever had questions about how our instruments are built, our design process, or would like to see our factory tour and learn more about what we do... this is your chance to learn more from Team Shires! We hope you enjoy the process.

The iconic show “How Its Made” featured our company on Season 6, Ep. 1. We’re honored to be a part of this incredible show!
