Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Coordinator, S.E. Shires Company
S.E. Shires Company, a leading manufacturer of professional brass instruments, is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Coordinator to support our operations team. This role coordinates the flow of materials and products throughout the facility, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, outsourced processing, and system record maintenance. The position serves as a key liaison between Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, Repairs, and Management to ensure efficient and accurate material movement.
Responsibilities:
Process and prepare outgoing shipments for customers, repairs, parts, accessories, vendors, and trade shows.
Receive and inspect incoming materials, products, repairs, returns, and supplies.
Verify shipments for accuracy and identify any damage or discrepancies.
Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, inventory, and outsourced processing records.
Update company systems, including Acumatica, ShipCeo, Squarespace, Microsoft Teams, and tracking logs.
Organize and maintain inventory, stockroom, shipping, and receiving areas.
Monitor inventory levels of manufacturing supplies and consumables and communicate replenishment needs.
Coordinate outsourced processing activities and generate purchase orders as required.
Track outsourced products from shipment through return.
Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and discrepancy resolution.
Communicate with internal departments regarding shipments, shortages, delays, damages, and inventory requirements.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Follow all company safety, quality, and material-handling procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems.
Experience with ERP, shipping, inventory, or e-commerce platforms preferred.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks independently.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Dependable attendance and a collaborative work ethic.
Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and move products and materials.
Experience handling delicate or high-value products is a plus
